The Situation
Rice Cohen International partnered with a premier strategy consulting firm to help build their growing Organization Practice with an emphasis on their M&A service offering. The firms approach to M&A work is different than many of competitors, they wanted someone with experience working across all industries and the culture fit was just as important to them as finding a strong practitioner.
Solution Implemented
We spent time understanding exactly what type of work the practice did, what type of experience they wanted someone to have, and what type of company they wanted someone to come from. We created a Search Assignment Profile and a very targeted Company List to work from.
We identified every consulting professional with the correct experience that currently worked for a company on the target list or had worked for one of those companies at some point in their career. We recognized that some people may have gone internal but be open to joining a consulting firm again and wanted to make sure we identified those individuals as well. We had two partners co-leading this search they proactively reached out to every name on this list. We scheduled a weekly call with the client to present candidates and to ensure an open line of communication throughout the process.
The Search Results
We presented a total of 9 candidates throughout the process and based on the strength of the candidates, the client ended up hiring 2, one of whom they brought in as a Direct Admit Partner.
